NDP cyber attack a warning to stay away from Internet voting: expert

Last month’s alleged cyber attack on the NDP leadership vote wasn’t the first time the party was victimized by a flubbed Internet election — and according to one expert, it’s likely to happen again.

In January 2003, during the ballot that brought Jack Layton to the leadership, the website used for voting by NDP members who were not on the convention floor went down for several hours.
